Soul Purpose and the Seven Rays:
An Adventure in Self-Discovery
Day workshop with William Meader

With The Wisdom Study Group.
at Hamblin Hall, Bosham, Chichester
According to the ancient Esoteric Philosophy, all of creation comes into being through the interaction of seven great streams of energy (Rays) which condition all life upon our planet. There are seven types of Souls, each having a particular Ray quality seeking to be expressed in the outer world, and to understand the Soul Ray is to discover one's essential nature and spiritual purpose in life. In this day workshop you will:
* Discover the unique ray nature of your Soul, and the divine purpose
it seeks to express
* Acquire a wealth of theoretical and practical information on each
of the seven rays
* Discover your Personal Ray Formula through a comprehensive ray
assessment and interpretation
* Ascertain the key to your spiritual transformation by understanding
the relationship between your Soul Ray and Personality Ray
* Learn how to relate more effectively with others by considering their
distinctive ray patterns

An Interfaith Experience
Weekend with Rev Annie Blampied

Organised by Hawkwood College.
at Hawkwood College, Stroud
To agree on a universal theology is impossible, but to share an experience of universal Love is not only possible, but necessary. We will
* experience meeting ourselves and each other in a deep and heart filled way, discovering that the Oneness that connects us is more than our differences.
* see how our defences keep us separate, and find the courage to choose love over fear.
* dive into some of the central prayers and rituals of major religions and experience their positive effects, through an Interfaith Celebration.
This weekend will help you stand in the light of truth, in a sea of seeming troubles in our world, and be a reference point of hope for those around you.
It also provides a taste of the Interfaith Foundation's Seminary training leading to ordination.
Suitable for all levels of experience - everyone is welcome.

The Mystery of Consciousness and Western Meditation Traditions
Mystics & Scientists 35th Anniversary Conference

Organised by The Scientific and Medical Network.
at University of Winchester
The Mystics and Scientists conferences have been held every year since 1978, and are dedicated to forging a creative understanding of the complementary roles of scientific and mystical approaches to reality. The conferences always provide a highly engaging and creative opportunity to come together with like-minded people in a spirit of exploration and dialogue.
This year we are exploring the mystery of consciousness with specific reference to the Abrahamic traditions. Fr Laurence Freeman brings a unique perspective on Christian meditation, while Rabbi Nilton Bonder is making a special trip from Brazil to share insights from ancient Jewish traditions. Prof Robert Frager combines his expertise in transpersonal psychology with a training in a Turkish Sufi tradition and Aikido. Dr Raymond Tallis and Dr Anne Runehov will consider the implications of neuroscience for understanding of consciousness and its relationship to spiritual experience.

Body and Beyond 3
Scientific and Spiritual Perspectives on the Subtle Body

Organised by The Scientific and Medical Network.
at Latimer Place, Chesham
Following our highly successful 2010 conference on 'Mind as Healer, Mind as Destroyer', we are turning our attention this year to the nature and interpretation of the subtle body. Conventional science recognises only the physical body, but there are many indications from our own experiences and from spiritual traditions of the existence of one or more subtle bodies interpenetrating the physical.
Our speakers will address various aspects of this vital topic. Professor Carlos Alvarado is an expert in the history of psychical research and will explore the concept of the 'double' in apparitions and OBEs, while Professor David Hufford will discuss the concept of the subtle body in NDEs, after-death contacts and sleep paralysis. Professor Geoffrey Samuel will compare Eastern and Western views on the subtle body, while Dr Edi Bilimoria will describe Theosophical models and their implications for our sense of self. Sandie Gustus will focus on experiential aspects of the subtle body and describe a new model of consciousness and reality which is able to accommodate them rather than explain them away.
